Our guesthouse (situated on a sunny south-west slope) offers you two fully equipped apartments (vacation flats) with all the conveniences for relaxing holidays and a comfortable stay. The self-catering apartments have a bedroom, a kitchen, a living-room (with SAT-TV) and a bathroom (towels are provided). There is a terrace for sunbathing and relaxing.
The quiet and pretty spa village of Menzenschwand has restaurants, cafés and a newly-opened spa swimming-pool with sauna. There is no through traffic – so you'll get some peace and fresh air. It's perfect for holidays at all seasons. Just relax or enjoy one of the many sports on offer.
Our Black Forest region is ideal for hiking as well as for daytrips with sightseeing. It's not far to Switzerland (Zurich/Basel), the French region of Alsace (Strassburg), the German town Freiburg (world-famous gothic Cathedral with a 127-meter tower, called "the most beautiful tower in Christendom") or the beautiful Lake of Constance. St. Blasien with its impressive domed Church is nearby just as the Schluchsee or the Feldberg (1493 m, highest mountain of the Black Forest).
If you arrive by plane at Zurich Airport and rent a car there, you can be here in about 1 1/2 hours. You cross the German-Swiss border at Koblenz/Waldshut. From there you drive to Häusern - St. Blasien - Menzenschwand.
